Special teams was the deciding factor between the Huskies and Panthers for first place in the Hacienda League showdown at Covina District Stadium. A blocked field goal early in the first quarter returned 71 yards for the score help the Huskies gain momentum in the first half. On the opening drive running back Connor Clark scored on a 6 yard rushing touchdown capped by a 10 play 80 yard drive. Panthers had another 10 play 80 yard drive as Junior Quarterback Cade Miller connected with sophomore receiver Cristian Dixon on a seam route late in the 4th. Dixon had 2 touchdowns for the evening and an interception on defense. Linebackers Thali Cobb and Mitchell Ratliff had a solid performance on defense. Panthers have a chance to be Co-League Champs if Charter Oak defeats South HIlls on October 25th.
