Panthers News · 1st Cross Country League Meet Was a Success for Diamond Ranch Runners

After months of waiting, the cross country team was finally able to compete in their first race. To keep everyone social distancing and within the county guidelines, races were staggered by school. Our athletes stepped onto the new 2.5 mile course with only themselves and the time to compete with. After all the schools raced, the times were compiled together to give us the final score.

Our Varsity Boys team took the 1st place and was lead by Junior, Steven Ochotorena, with a finishing time of 14:58. Followed by Devin Alanis in third place with a time of 15:18 and David Milian in 6th with a time of 16:42.  Our Varsity Girls team took second place and was led by sophomore, Isabel Villareal who competed in her first cross country race and finished with a time of  19:55. Followed by Silvana Villareal with a time of 20:44 and Ingrid Tamayo with a time of 21:03.
